Sunter River Normalization Hampered by Land Acquisition

The normalization work of Sunter River, especially at RW 04, Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, Makasar Sub-District, East Jakarta, are still hampered by land acquisition process. It happens because many residents, whose lands to be acquisitioned, do not have complete documents, so the compensation payment cannot be conducted yet.

From 41 landownership certificates submitted, only six certificates that are complete and safe for the compensation payment to be conducted

According to Head of Infrastructures and Utilities Network and Facilities Division for Jakarta Public Works Department, Edy Sudrajat, actually many RW 04 Cipinang Melayu have submitted their landownership certificates. However, most of those certificates had to be returned due to incomplete documents.

“From 41 landownership certificates submitted, only six certificates that are complete and safe for the compensation payment to be conducted. As for those whose certificates returned, they are asked to immediately complete their documents,” he stated, Tuesday (9/16).

Meanwhile, Head of East Jakarta Land Procurement Team (P2T), Arifin, disclosed that besides incomplete landownership documents, there is also land lot which currently in a dispute with the Air Force (TNI AU) and its legal process is ongoing in East Jakarta State Court.
